Jessica Steffey, DNP

Jessica is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Robert Morris University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Robert Morris.

Jessica’s healthcare experience began five years ago in the emergency department at Latrobe Hospital, where she served for two years. She then gained valuable experience as a travel nurse in the Allentown area, followed by two years at the AHN Hempfield Neighborhood Emergency Department. Through these diverse experiences, she has developed a deep understanding of patient needs across the lifespan, from newborns to hospice care. This has equipped her with the ability to effectively communicate with patients and understand their expectations for a primary care provider. Which she will use to integrate into her practice as a Nurse Practitioner.

Jessica’s doctoral thesis focused on the importance of natural supplementation, specifically examining the health practices of Amish communities and their preference for natural supplements over modern medicine. This research has provided her with a unique perspective on holistic healthcare and the benefits of alternative therapies.

Jessica is dedicated to providing patient-centered, holistic care. She emphasizes a collaborative approach, prioritizing lifestyle modifications, supplements, and alternative therapies before resorting to medication when appropriate. She believes in creating individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs and preferences, striving to minimize medication use while optimizing health outcomes.

A lifelong resident of Penn-Trafford, Jessica is deeply committed to serving her community. She graduated from Penn-Trafford High School and maintains strong ties to the area. Her family has deep roots in Harrison City, and she is passionate about promoting wellness and improving the health of her hometown. She aims to uphold the high standards of her community while integrating her growing family into the fabric of Harrison City.

In her free time, Jessica enjoys gardening, traveling, and spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She recently married in May 2024 and cherishes time with her husband and both of their families. She values cultural exchange, particularly visits with her sister and her family in Luxembourg. Jessica understands the importance of integrating health into a patient's desired lifestyle, recognizing the unique needs of each individual. 
Jessica is excited to begin her practice at PT Family Medicine and looks forward to building lasting relationships with her patients in Harrison City.
